I got home from work on Thursday evening and opened the door to the pungent smell of petrochemicals. Yes, downstairs are, it seems, sanding and sealing their floors: I figured this out because the next morning, I ran into the guys hauling the floor sander up the stairs.
I'm not sure exactly how they're getting up here, but the reek of fumes has been apalling these past two days, and was worst this morning. We opened the window and left the house, and have just got back to a freezing cold but almost breathable house. Having now closed the window and turned the heating back on, we're still freezing but the fumes are starting to get noticable again already. This can't be good for us, and it's certainly incredibly unpleasant.
If you don't hear from us for a couple of days, could someone call a coroner for us? Thanks.
In other news, it seems to be ages since we've seen any of y'all; pub, anyone?
Or, you know, you could come round here and we could get high off the fumes...
